Screw Conveyor
A screw conveyor (also called an auger conveyor) is a mechanical device used to move bulk materials like powders, grains, granules, or semi-solids from one place to another using a rotating helical screw inside a tube or trough.
Working Principle :
Material is fed into the inlet hopper
The screw rotates inside the casing
As it rotates, it pushes material forward
Material moves continuously to the outlet
👉 Works similar to a rotating
screw pushing material along its length
